Due to the website restrictions, I can only upload 3 videos in my lifetime to the site. As such, this section will contain links to my YouTube. It will be divided by date and the poem. Thanks!
THIS WAS MY FIRST FEATURE!!
So, basically, instead of 5 minutes, I got 10-20. Which felt really intimidating when I started planning, but it ended up going really well. It was an amazing experience I am so grateful for.

This was my 20th reading.
"He's No Romeo" made its live debut. THE ONE AND ONLY BRANDON MULLIS made it all the way from Connecticut and was at one of my readings for the first time. Andrew and I both had dinosaur shirts on, and I like matching. So, it was a very good night.
I read "Message to an Empath," "Ashes," ""He's No Romeo"," and "Love and Pride."

This was my 19th reading.
This one was super cool for me for two reasons. One, the wonderful Eric Lawson was the feature. I love that guy. Look him and "Leaving Long Beach" up. He's great. Two, the next day would make exactly a year since my first reading ever, which was also at the Aiken Library.
I did "Hybridization" and "Ashes."

This was my 18th reading.
I did quite a few that night, and I was a little out of sorts at first. I had just left an awards ceremony at Lander where I won two awards in our media department. It was such a fun day, and (honestly) it was really cool for both of my worlds to have events on the same day.
At the reading, I read "Too Fall in Love," "Wish," "Message to an Empath," "To Write," "The Storyteller," and "This Little Life."

This was my 16th reading.
I read "I Knew" and "Baby," one I wrote sitting there during that reading. This was a fun reading, and the vibe was really, really upbeat, possibly moreso than usual. It was a great night.

This was my first time doing the SCSTA Festival (South Carolina Speech and Theater Association). I did four events: duet improv, dramatic monologue, spoken word poetry, and impromptu speech. It was a crazy, but amazing, experience, and I can't wait for it next year.

Beckey and I both read at this event. This was my 15th reading, her 2nd.
I did "But," "Better Yet," "Beautiful Things," and "Faded." Three of these were live debuts, and one of them was the first time I did one by memory. This was such a fun night for me.
Beckey did "Equal" and "Mommy." This was only her second reading.

This was my 14th reading, 1st of 2025.
The suggested theme was "endings and beginnings," which is something I USUALLY would've been ALL OVER. However, this reading was special. This was the day before Andrew's birthday, and Andrew's parents came to the first reading they've come to. So, I wanted to do sweet love ones. Then, I threw in "This Little Life" in honor of them being there as well, as they helped inspire the piece.

This was my 13th reading.
I did "Ashes" to match the theme of strength. I also did "Hero" for the same reason and because it started this adventure for me, so it felt right to end the year with it.

This was my 12th reading, fifth at this location.
I had written a poem specifically for the topic for the first time, and I forgot it an hour away. So, I had to use what I had. I read "Look Up" and "When You Find This (1000 Years)." I don't think I have read "When You Find This" before this reading.
For some reason, no matter what I did, YouTube registered these as "Shorts." Following the link, that changes nothing. It just means it isn't in the "Live Readings" playlist if you are looking on the channel.

When You Find This (1000 Years)
This was my 11th reading, sixth at this location.
Due to the cold temperatures, we did this reading in their newly opened bistro. Andrew got their Reuben, and I got the veggie nachos. Highly recommend it. We also got the tea (I unfortunately can't remember which kind), and it was great. For an amazing price, we got about 4 cups of tea out of the little teapot they brought. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
(Back to the reading)
I read "Message to an Empath" and "Beautiful Things." As always, here are the links, and the wonderful Andrew took the videos.
This is the first time since my first reading that I read "Message to an Empath," and I couldn't be happier with the growth.

This was my 10th reading, fourth at this location.
Unfortunately, I had to get a new phone right after, and my videos from this reading were lost. I did just want to log that I read here.
This was my 9th reading, fifth at this location.
Because it was post-hurricane, only a few people came. As such, I got to read four of my pieces. I did two on the stage, and the last two I did around a fire, all cozy and intimate. It was so nice to see everyone and socialize post-storm.

I took Media 200-Media Skills with Cory Carpenter here at Lander. We were given two films to do September 20th and 23rd. Both were 30 seconds or less and were designed to be an editing assignment. We had to show an action from 5 angles and make it look continuous. Both were to be silent, and the second was supposed to tell a story.
I got Casey to be an actress on the first, and the second I had to film on my own. Neither is perfect, but I feel like both are pretty great. So, here they are.

This was my 8th reading, fourth at this location.
Sidenote, y'all, this is a beautiful location for events. It's also a wedding venue and is GORGEOUS. We did the reading out in the wooded area instead of the pavilion, and it is a dream. ESPECIALLY as it got dark.
I read only one piece this week, "Secret", that is fairly new and not yet on the site.

This was my 7th reading, first at SC Bard.
This year, I got the honor of being published in the 2024 SC Bard Anthology. This is a state-wide collection of poetry for poets across all levels and ages. My piece "Hybridization" was selected by their team for publication.
I have the Charleston overview with a "Hybridization" voiceover, my reading of "Hybridization", and the full SC Bard Adventure Vlog linked for you. :)

This was my sixth reading, third at this location.
The first two pieces I read were "Hero"' and "Hybridization". Due to a tech issue, I don't have "Hybridization" on video unfortunately.
The third piece I read was "Complexity, Simplicity, and Love". I was not planning on reading it, but there was an impromptu theme of "love" that night, and I wanted to do this piece justice.
**ALSO, free plug, if you are in the Augusta area and love tea (like me), I HIGHLY recommend their Crimson Berry tea. I bought some that night for so cheap, and it is among my top 5 teas now.**
This was my fifth reading, third at this location.
The first two pieces were both rather short, so they are in a video together. They are "Love and Pride" and "Wish". They both pulled inspiration from a Romeo and Juliet POV.
The third piece is "I Won't Jinx It". This is the first piece I wrote about Andrew.
The fourth piece is "Without You".
